ABOUT LSD
Lara Stafford-Deitsch creates contemporary fine jewellery designed to be touched, worn, and lived in. Her work invites interaction – to notice, to play, to return to. Solid, weighty, and intimate, each piece is made to hold meaning beyond decoration.
Lara honed her craft through a traditional goldsmithing apprenticeship. After years at the bench with master jewellers, she opened her own studio in Bristol.
Working with gold, silver, platinum and precious gemstones, Lara explores contrast as a central theme: softness and strength, movement and stillness, the body and the object. Feminine figures are hand-engraved into 18ct yellow gold, gemstones distort and reveal what lies beneath, and spinning elements orbit the figure or neck, offering comfort and rhythm through touch. Many pieces hold hidden details – motifs only discovered with time.
ADORNMENT WITH INTENTION
“I create jewellery with weight and meaning – pieces that hold stories, invite touch, and celebrate the power of individuality.
For me, jewellery is more than ornament – it’s a way to tell stories, to start conversations, to express something quietly powerful. I’m drawn to the curves of the female form, the tension between softness and weight, beauty and resilience.
Each piece is an invitation: to touch, to play, to connect – with your body, your voice, and your sense of self.”

THE RATTLESNAKE RING
Featuring an 18ct yellow gold and platinum spinning ring set with an 18mm cabochon aquamarine, diamonds, diamond-cut rubies, and an engraved snake around the rotating central band. The snake, a symbol of the feminine, aligns with Lara’s mission to celebrate and empower femininity through storytelling in design. The aquamarine magnifies and distorts the intricate engraving of the rattlesnake beneath, which, when pushed, slithers around the circumference of the finger, allowing the wearer to view the snake and the diamond details beneath the stone from different angles. A closer look reveals diamond-set eyes, a diamond rattle, and scattering of star-set diamonds. These hidden details create a sense of intimacy and intrigue, like a secret known only to the wearer. These subtle elements invite conversation and deepen the personal connection to the piece.
THE CAROUSEL RING
Made out of 9ct yellow gold, the ring features a series of hand engraved female figures. With each spin a new and captivating figure becomes visible through the citrine stone. This element of voyeurism and titillation can be seen throughout the Hera collection. With playful diamond accents and glimpses into hidden portals of seduction.
