ABOUT LARA

Lara Stafford-Deitsch creates jewellery that invites interaction – to touch, to play, to notice. Each design is made to be worn and lived in – solid, weighty, and full of meaning.
Working in gold, silver and precious gemstones stones, Lara brings together softness and strength through contrast: feminine figures hand-engraved in precious metal, gemstones that shift and distort what’s beneath, spinning elements that orbit and move with the body. Every piece offers something hidden – a motif you only find when you look again, a detail that reveals itself over time.
Whether it’s a goddess carved in gold or a diamond that spins with a flick of the finger, Lara’s jewellery is made to empower. Tactile and personal, these are modern heirlooms with a rebellious spirit – made for those who see beauty in the unexpected.

Lara honed her craft through a traditional goldsmithing apprenticeship, learning precision, patience, and the quiet power of well-made things. After years at the bench with master jewellers, she launched her own studio in Bristol – a space where fine jewellery meets art, movement, and meaning.
With a background in life drawing and a fascination with form, Lara brings a sculptor’s eye to her pieces. Her work blends the softness of the body with the strength of metal – a celebration of femininity in all its complexity.

ADORNMENT WITH INTENTION

“I create jewellery with weight and meaning – pieces that hold stories, invite touch, and celebrate the power of individuality.

For me, jewellery is more than ornament – it’s a way to tell stories, to start conversations, to express something quietly powerful. I’m drawn to the curves of the female form, the tension between softness and weight, beauty and resilience.

Each piece is an invitation: to touch, to play, to connect – with your body, your voice, and your sense of self.”

18ct gold and platinum spinning rattlesnake ring with aquamarine, diamonds and rubies

THE rattlesnake ring

Featuring an 18ct yellow gold and platinum spinning ring set with an 18mm cabochon aquamarine, diamonds, diamond-cut rubies, and an engraved snake around the rotating central band. The snake, a symbol of the feminine, aligns with Lara’s mission to celebrate and empower femininity through storytelling in design. The aquamarine magnifies and distorts the intricate engraving of the rattlesnake beneath, which, when pushed, slithers around the circumference of the finger, allowing the wearer to view the snake and the diamond details beneath the stone from different angles. A closer look reveals diamond-set eyes, a diamond rattle, and a scattering of star-set diamonds. These hidden details create a sense of intimacy and intrigue, like a secret known only to the wearer. These subtle elements invite conversation and deepen the personal connection to the piece.
